Layout and villa project construction in Hyderabad
You have the land and a picture of what it could become: a farm-stay, a gated layout, a cluster of homes. We shape earthen buildings around that idea and build them, while the project stays yours.
Plan my projectWho we work with
Landowners with a larger piece of land
Family land or an investment you want to turn into homes, without selling it to a developer.
Farm-stays and retreats
Cottages, a common house and the buildings around them, made to sit lightly on the land.
Developers planning a layout
Villas or a cluster of homes that stand apart, with a character buyers can see and touch.
What we bring, and what stays with you
We bring
- Building designs shaped around your project’s theme and vision
- Earth blocks from our sister company, CJ EcoTech Supply, made on your site
- A trained building team, from foundations to handover
- One point of contact for the buildings, however many there are
You keep
- Your land and your project
- Your buyers, your guests and your sales. We build; we don’t sell or market land or homes
- The final say on every design
How a project comes together
Talk it through
Tell us about the land and the idea: how many buildings, who they’re for, and the feel you want.
Test the soil
CJ EcoTech Supply tests your site’s soil to see whether blocks can be made from it, and with which mix.
Design the buildings
We design a family of buildings around your theme, so the whole project reads as one place.
Make blocks and build
Blocks are made on your site, and we build, through to handover.
Why earth suits a multi-home project
Walls from your own ground
When the soil tests suitable, the earth dug for foundations becomes the walls, with less to truck in and less to throw away.
A look of its own
Earth-block walls can be left exposed, with no plaster, giving the whole project a natural, consistent finish.
Lighter on the planet
The Auroville Earth Institute found earth blocks carry about 12 times less carbon than country-fired bricks.
Kinder on the budget
In Auroville, a finished earth-block wall cost 20–25% less than a country-fired brick wall, mainly because it needs no plaster and less mortar.
Numbers from the Auroville Earth Institute, based on Auroville conditions and compared with country-fired bricks. Hyderabad numbers will come from our own tests. Costs on your project depend on its design and site.
Questions landowners and developers ask
Do you sell the plots or the homes?
No. ZB EcoTech designs and builds. The land, the project and every sale stay with you.
Can the blocks be made on our land?
Often, yes. If your soil tests suitable, CJ EcoTech Supply brings the press and a trained crew to your site. It needs open space for the press, soil heap and curing area, a water source, and about four weeks of curing before blocks go into walls.On-site block making →
How tall can the buildings be?
Earth blocks are proven in load-bearing buildings of a few storeys. Taller buildings need a frame structure and an engineer’s design.
What will it cost?
It depends on the number and size of the buildings, the design, your site and your soil. Once we’ve understood the idea and tested the soil, we give you a quote you can compare.
Can we start small?
Yes. Some projects begin with one building, such as a common house or a first cottage, before the rest.
We only want one farmhouse for the family. Is that a layout project?
No, that’s a single home, and it has its own page. Farmhouse construction →
Tell us about your project.
Where the land is, roughly how many buildings you have in mind, and what you’d like the place to feel like. We’ll call you back, usually within two working days.
